AUTUMN LEAVES

In coastal Georgia, we had a little autumn color but not like north Georgia. It's quite nice to be back where most of the trees have leaves that turn in the fall.

These trees line a road going toward our house:

And these are pix of our pond:

And these are some geese on our pond just as the leaves started turning. They were only here for a couple of days so I guess we were just a stopover as they flew further south for the winter.

I loved our island home but you can't beat autumn in north Georgia!

  1. Beautiful autumn leaves.
If you can not live on an Island you picked another lovely place to live.

    cheers, parsnip

  2. Very pretty fall colours!

This time of year, the birds who are migrating never stay in one spot too long. I've seen some geese here recently, but they wouldn't be the ones who summer here. They'd be coming from spots further north and just stopping to rest.

    1. I was glad to see these, thinking they were here to stay. But they flew on. A few days later, another group came in for a few days and left. Then yesterday, we had a lone couple but today they are gone, too. Ah well, I guess we're just a pit stop on their journey!
